The Byzantine Empire had a strong navy and capable commanders. The Byzantine Empire and the Holy Roman Empire (if Byzantine conquered) are the only empires that can create this title. The Byzantine Empire is one of the few empires that is already created at both the 8 start dates. The second expansion for the critically praised strategy-RPG Crusader Kings II focuses on the Byzantine Empire. I play for fun and storytime more so than for challenge, so I’m gonna save-scum on occasion, and cheat a bit.
